A happy reunion was shared between rescuers of Skye, a husky that went missing after its owner was pelted with rocks, stabbed and robbed of his bicycle in Simon\u2019s Town earlier this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a community alert the ordeal was shared among residents two weeks ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTwo men were mugged and one stabbed near the Redhill Water Reservoir,\u201d the notice read. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe stabbed victim was taken to hospital by the other victim.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two mountain bikes were reportedly stolen while the victim\u2019s dog bolted during the traumatic ordeal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not giving up in finding man\u2019s best friend; concerned residents, volunteers and rescue organisations joined forces to find Skye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sending out a plea on social media, volunteers gathered at the scene where the incident occurred to find Skye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSkye is still not found,\u201d it said. \u201cI think she is on the move, hopefully towards Muizenberg where she lives. Fresh paw prints were going away from the dam towards Simon\u2019s Town side.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After days of trying to find the dog volunteers were relieved to find it last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA group of rescuers persevered and found her not far from where the incident occurred,\u201d a social media post read. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are so grateful as a community to know there are people who care for a positive outcome. Skye is going home to her dad.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Simon\u2019s Town police spokesperson WO Cobus Visser confirmed that two bicycles was taken and the victims pelted with stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
