Four local organisations will benefit from the proceeds of Cape Town\u2019s spectacular Tree of Hope, a dazzling 17-metre installation, the tallest of its kind in Africa, shining proudly from the rooftop of Hotel Sky in the CBD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was initiated by Hotel Sky, unveiled in partnership with the City of Cape Town, KFM, and Cape Town Tourism, and stands as a bold beacon of unity, generosity, and upliftment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This vibrant initiative brings together hospitality partners, businesses, artists, visitors, and local communities in a shared celebration of giving and togetherness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And from today, the activation comes alive daily from 18:00 to 21:00 inviting locals, visitors, and tourists to stop by, make a pledge or donation, snap a selfie, and share in the spirit of giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience continues until 10 January next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beneficiaries include Homestead Street Children, Realistic Childcare Centre, Reach for a Dream and Chris Burger Players Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inge Dykman, group director of sales and marketing, said through collective giving, skills development, and charitable donations, the initiative will support youth, emerging artists, rising sports talent, vulnerable communities, and local charities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She encouraged people to view the tree free-of-charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s visible, from the stadium, the N1 and the N2. This is cheering people up. The tree is structurally engineered and not weather dependent. Led lighting lights up in various colours. They can take a photo and make a pledge. They can pledge anything from R5 to R5 000.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dykman said people can also support by donating non-perishable food, clothing, toys, or other essential items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHotels, restaurants, attractions, and tourism stakeholders can pledge a portion of their festive season sales to the Tree of Hope fund.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She adds that businesses can provide study bursaries, training opportunities, mentorship, or professional development support for deserving youth and emerging talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tree of Hope initiative will culminate in a special celebration at the Unity on the Square Concert taking place at Green Market Square on Tuesday 16 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This concert, spearheaded by local artist Loukmaan Adams, stands as a festive milestone bringing music, community, and purpose together in the heart of Cape Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
