Additionally, the SPCA\u2019s 24-hour line received routine welfare calls concerning sick or injured animals, not directly linked to fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPCA spokesperson Belinda Abraham expressed gratitude for the support from Law Enforcement, highlighting their essential role in allowing the SPCA to operate amidst the chaos. She also acknowledged that concerted enforcement and community awareness seem to be yielding results, as suggested by Cape Animal Welfare Forum\u2019s consensus that fireworks-related complaints have declined significantly compared to previous years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tygerburger.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/2311_48200.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">All unwanted, abandoned, stray, seized, confiscated and impounded cats and dogs from the greater Cape Town area are admitted to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-animals-still-missing\">Animals still missing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Abraham voiced ongoing concerns regarding terrified animals that may have run away and are still lost. \u201cTerrified animals can cover great distances, and animals from the hardest-hit areas could be anywhere by now,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SPCA urged residents to stay alert for displaced or frightened animals. Advice was given to owners of missing pets to report cases using the SPCA\u2019s online form (https:\/\/capespca.co.za\/services\/lost-and-found\/), or contact the Lost and Found Department at 021 700 4166 or via email at lostandfound@spca-ct.co.za.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s calmer night, though far from incident-free, has brought some relief to Cape Town\u2019s animals, showcasing the
