Besides winning the goalkeeper of the tournament, my biggest reward was the support and comfort I got from my teammates and coaches as well as seeing them hyping me up and trying to boost my confidence, made things a bit easier. The unwavering support I got from them felt like a reward to me.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She says winning the award helped prove to herself that hard work does pay off in the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Having patience and faith in yourself and team is an important thing.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her coach, Melissa Prins, says she is &#8220;immensely proud&#8221; of her soccer team and Gabiso&#8217;s achievements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Reaching the finals of the Gavin Manuel Memorial School Soccer Tournament is no small achievement for our soccer girls as it\u2019s the result of hard work, teamwork, and commitment of our team over the past year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Even though we didn\u2019t take the winning trophy home, I couldn\u2019t be prouder of our girls who showed heart, skill, and true sportsmanship throughout the tournament,&#8221; she concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/peoplespost\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/PHOTO-2025-10-08-13-_48349.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sibahle Gabiso was crowned as the best keeper at the Gavin Manuel Memorial School Soccer Tournament.
