{"id":270688,"date":"2025-09-19T10:45:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T08:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/peoplespost\/sisters-killed-in-tragic-crash-to-be-laid-to-rest-this-weekend\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T11:07:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:07:20","slug":"sisters-killed-in-tragic-crash-to-be-laid-to-rest-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/peoplespost\/sisters-killed-in-tragic-crash-to-be-laid-to-rest-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisters killed in tragic crash to be laid to rest this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Janene Moodley, the mother of two sisters killed in an accident in the Northern Cape last weekend, says the family is \u201cdevastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Cassidy and Connor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sisters, accompanied by their older sister Storm, were on their way back to Johannesburg when the accident occurred near Victoria West in the Klein Karoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They returned from Cape Town after attending their cousin\u2019s graduation<em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/iol.co.za\/news\/south-africa\/2025-09-16-sisters-killed-in-horror-crash-were-on-their-way-home-from-cousins-graduation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IOL<\/a><\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family spokesperson and uncle, Lance Poonawassy, said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Storm was initially in critical condition in hospital after the crash.
