Residents Raise Red Flags<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n For years, residents have voiced frustration over ongoing issues, including broken lights in the parking area, the repeated theft of water pumps (causing flooding and closures), and the lack of controlled access after hours. These problems have left many commuters feeling unsafe, especially at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Collaborative Efforts for a Safer Subway<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Councillor Andrews described the meeting as \u201csuccessful and constructive,\u201d adding that all stakeholders are committed to creating a safer, more reliable subway environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe acknowledge that there will be a slight inconvenience for residents who use the subway during midnight hours,\u201d<\/em> Andrews said. \u201cBut the bigger picture is important right now \u2013 ensuring a safe subway for all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Controlled Access Hours Coming Soon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the key outcomes of the meeting is the introduction of designated access hours for the subway. Although final details are still being confirmed, the new schedule will be publicly announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are working on balancing the needs of our residents with the need for a secure facility,\u201d<\/em> Andrews explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Ongoing Challenges: Lighting and Pump Theft<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Among the most urgent issues discussed was the theft of the subway\u2019s water pump, which has led to multiple flooding incidents. In addition, broken lighting in the adjacent parking lot continues to raise safety concerns for both pedestrians and drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stay Connected for Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Councillor Andrews urged all Ward 73 residents to stay informed via the official Ward 73 WhatsApp channels, where updates and announcements will be posted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCommunity cooperation and open
