The Lions Club of Tokai installed Mark Rossouw as its 50th president at an installation ceremony on Saturday 27 June.

Formerly the club’s president-elect, he will lead the organisation through the 2026/27 fiscal year alongside a newly elected board of directors.

He set the tone for his term from the outset, sharing his presidential motto “Selfless Service” and encouraging members to embrace it as a guiding principle for the year ahead.

Rossouw appealed to members to work alongside him to grow the number of people the club serves during his term. He said more members would allow the club to reach more people in the community who needed help.

In his inaugural address, he outlined three priorities for the year: service delivery, leadership development and membership growth.

Rossouw assured members he would lead with integrity, commitment and enthusiasm, pledging to build on the club’s proud legacy while working to take the organisation to even greater heights.

The board of directors elected to serve alongside Rossouw in the 2026-’27 fiscal year are:

Ian Grove as first vice president and treasurer;
Jean Jacobs a secretary;
Lynette Davids as Lions Clubs International Foundation club chairperson and service chairperson;
Jill Rumbelow as disaster relief and humanitarian aid chairperson;
Colleen de Villiers as membership chairperson.

Rossouw, for now, will also act as media and marketing chairperson.

The Lions Club of Tokai is part of Lions Clubs International, one of the world’s largest volunteer service organisations, with members giving their time and resources to serve those in need.
