CAPE TOWN – Three men have been arrested in connection with recent housebreaking incidents in Simon’s Town and Fish Hoek following a swift intelligence-led operation by the South African Police Service.
The arrests occurred on Thursday morning 8 January at approximately 05:40 when flying squad members pulled over a white Toyota Fortuner carrying three male occupants.

The operation followed recent housebreaking incidents in the area, which prompted the police’s intelligence team to gather information and track down the suspects.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a laptop, a mobile phone, and various household items believed to be stolen property.
Additional crimes discovered
While conducting the arrests, police were informed that another house had been broken into in Simon’s Town, potentially linking the suspects to multiple criminal incidents in the area.
All three suspects face charges of possession of stolen property and housebreaking. They are scheduled to appear in the Simon’s Town Magistrates’ Court.
Police could not confirm the estimate value of the stolen items nor the date when the suspects will appear in court.
