The Western Cape Provincial Community Police Board (WCPCPB) honoured police stations, officers, and teams within the police’s City of Cape Town District for their exceptional service.
“These awards highlight the tireless efforts of the men and women in police and community police forums (CPF), showcasing that excellence does exist, even under the most challenging conditions,” a WCPCPB statement read.

“These recognitions are a testament to the hard work and dedication that many officers demonstrate daily,” wrote WCPCPB in a statement.
Col Nel, who took on the role of station commander in December last year, always knew that he wanted to be a policeman.
He told People’s Post
When it comes to tackling police corruption, violence and crime, Nel said strong partnerships are important.
“Police will never be able to do it alone, we need to work together to form partnerships to tackle the crime in the area,” he said. “It’s very important that the community work together with the police, but there are challenges to work on and to overcome.”
