CAPE TOWN – The learners at Perivale Primary School are well equipped to tackle the rest of the semester after receiving newly donated school stationary and uniforms on Tuesday 17 February.

The items were donated by the Wynberg Rotary Club and handed over at the school on the day and the event drew strong attendance from parents, teachers, and community members, said school teacher Nicolene Janger.

The Rotary Club of Wynberg is a Cape Town-based volunteer service organisation, chartered in 1949, focused on sustainable community development in the Southern Suburbs and Cape Flats. As part of Rotary International, it connects local professionals for networking, fellowship, and projects targeting education, healthcare, and youth.

Vital educational support

The Rotary Club has established itself as a cornerstone of support for Perivale Primary learners, particularly those requiring assistance with basic school needs.

“This organisation generously funds learners who require assistance with their basic school needs,” said Janger.

The members donated several stationery supplies, school uniforms, and other basic educational resources that enable learners to participate fully in their academic journey.

In light of this donation, many learners are given the opportunity to focus on their education with confidence and dignity, Janger added.

“The impact of this support is particularly significant for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds,” she said.

The Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment reflects a genuine investment in the future of our children, Janger added.

“We extend our sincere gratitude for their meaningful and lasting contribution to our school community,” she said.
