Art lovers can look forward to engaging with deeply creative artworks while contributing to a good cause and raising awareness about breast cancer when they visit the annual Open Studios Fish Hoek & Clovelly art exhibition, which returns for an expanded edition.
Raising awareness
Running from Friday 9 October to Sunday 11 October, this vibrant neighbourhood-wide event bypasses traditional gallery walls, inviting the public directly into the intimate working spaces of local artists, creative hubs, and neighborhood businesses.
Art enthusiasts will have a unique opportunity to engage firsthand with local artists, explore the intricate stories behind their diverse practices, and experience the coastal neighbourhood through a fresh artistic lens.
Local talent
Beyond celebrating local talent, the event champions a profound social cause.
A paid preview evening on Friday, 9 October, will double as a charity fundraiser.
All proceeds raised during the opening event will benefit Project Flamingo, a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) that provides life-saving surgeries and holistic support to breast cancer patients navigating the public healthcare system.
Organisers have extended an open invitation to residents and visitors alike to participate in this meaningful weekend where art, community, and social impact beautifully intersect.
