CAPE TOWN – Metro Police’s Anti-Hijack Unit recovered two stolen vehicles on the same day in a swift operation.
Officers were alerted shortly after 06:00 to be on the lookout for a stolen Toyota Fortuner in the Muizenberg area.
About two hours later, a second vehicle, an orange Toyota Etios Cross, was also reported stolen in the same vicinity.

Officers immediately focused their search on known hotspots where stolen vehicles are often abandoned or stripped.
While patrolling the Lower Crossroads area, officers successfully located both vehicles, which had been abandoned.
The recovered cars were transported to the Bellville South impound facility for further processing.
