I received a message from my mother-in-law and nearly sent her a verification number that had been SMSed to me. Luckily, I realised something was off at the last minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;She had already lost access to her WhatsApp, and someone was using her account to contact her entire list of contacts, trying to take control of their WhatsApps too.
