After eight years in custody, Netwerk24 reported<\/a> that Pastor Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Sulani were found not guilty on all charges at the Gqeberha High Court on Wednesday, April 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Judge said the state did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eastern Cape National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson, Luxolo Tyali, reported on the case. Omotoso and his co-accused faced over 32 charges. These were related to sexual offences and human trafficking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omotoso is a Nigerian televangelist and the senior pastor of Jesus Dominion International, based in Durban, South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
