A body of an unknown man was found in the North End Lake yesterday, March 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the incident, Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said that at about 18:10, SAPS Mount Road was notified that a human body was seen floating in the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beetge said the body was then retrieved by divers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“An inquest case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Mount Road. An autopsy will be conducted in due course to determine the cause of death,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A body was found in North End Lake on March 31, 2025, and an investigation is underway. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.<\/p>\n
The same day, a 44-year-old taxi driver was shot and killed on Govan Mbeki Avenue. SAPS Humewood is
