African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify travelers of the erection of 16-meter long precast concrete poles along the N2 between Bay West\/Hunters Retreat Interchange and Samantha\/Linton Grange Interchange, starting on Thursday, February 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">In a statement released by SANRAL, this first portion of the Freeway Management Systems (FMS) project involves the erection of seven poles, with an estimated duration of approximately three to four weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">\u201cDuring this period, the slow lane will be closed over a short distance, approximately one kilometer at a time, and traffic will be accommodated in the fast lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">\u201cThe completion of the first portion is expected by March 20,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">The statement added that the FMS requires approximately 70 concrete poles to be erected along the national roads within Nelson Mandela Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">\u201cThe FMS contractor will continue to the next portion until all concrete poles have been erected and CCTV cameras have been installed,\u201d the statement further added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"sc-blHHSb eddidB\">SANRAL Eastern Cape Provincial Head, Mbulelo Peterson, said: \u201cMotorists
