The Goldrush Foundation<\/a> and Bingo Royale Cleary Park donated nearly R400 000 to four local organisations focused on dignity, education, youth development, and community support.

The Goldrush Foundation and Bingo Royale Cleary Park reaffirmed their commitment to community upliftment through a series of Community Social Investment (CSI) handovers. In total, these handovers amounted to R395 190.90 across Nelson Mandela Bay.

The funding was directed towards four beneficiary organisations. Each addresses critical social needs across education<\/a>, youth development, residential care, and community feeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheshire Home Cleary Estate \u2014 R99 633.28<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cheshire Home Cleary Estate received R99 633.28 towards essential medical and sanitary supplies for its 44 residents, including toiletries, nappies, gloves, aprons, and OmniFix wound-care products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a non-profit organisation caring for people living with disabilities, Cheshire Home Cleary Estate relies heavily on community and corporate support. This support is essential to maintain the standard of care its residents require.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yolandi Te Wolte accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation, expressing gratitude for the contribution and its direct impact on residents’ daily well-being and dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Machiu Primary School \u2014 R75 943<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Machiu Primary School<\/a> received R75 943 to repair and upgrade its ablution facilities, ensuring a safer, more dignified environment for learners. This marks the second consecutive year the school has benefited from the Goldrush Foundation’s CSI programme. Previously, it received funding towards a classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Elroy Rhagosingh accepted the donation, acknowledging the foundation’s ongoing investment in the school and its learners.

Zuko Phandle from the Eastern Cape Gambling Board (ECGB) also addressed attendees. He outlined the legislative framework governing regulated gaming in South Africa and emphasised the importance of responsible gambling awareness. The focus was particularly on educating young people about the risks of underage gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northern Areas Football Association (NAFA) \u2014 R100 297.62<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Northern Areas Football Association<\/a> (NAFA) received R100 297.62 to support its youth football development programmes. Chairman Clive Kilian and club administrator Shadia George accepted the donation on behalf of the association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAFA serves between 3 000 and 4 000 junior and senior players across the Northern Areas, with approximately 286 games played each weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funding will be directed towards equipment, administration and the continued operation of programmes. These programmes keep young people actively engaged in sport and away from negative social influences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe and Achieve \u2014 R119 317<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Believe and Achieve<\/a>, founded by Kyron and Daylon Kerspuy, received the largest contribution of R119 317.00 to expand its community outreach. Operating from their base in Chatty 11, the organisation currently feeds almost 300 people three times per week.

The funding has enabled the purchase of a food truck, extending the organisation’s reach into neighbouring communities in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
