The incident occurred on Saturday, 6 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, information gathered at the scene indicated that at approximately 04:20, SAPS Kabega Park responded to a report of an accident on the N2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;A pedestrian crossed the road and was struck by a vehicle, and she died at the scene due to her injuries,&#8221; she said. &#8220;The pedestrian is a coloured female between the ages of 30 and 40.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Janse Van Rensburg added that the deceased was wearing a pink dress and had a tattoo of a rose on her left shoulder, a flower on her right thigh, and on the left arm the word &#8220;Cybel.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The pedestrian&#8217;s identity is unknown, and relatives or anyone from the community are urged to contact the investigating officer to assist with her identification<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>A culpable homicide case has been opened and is under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who can assist with the identity of the deceased is asked to contact SAPS Kabega Park D\/Sgt Deidre Harker on 063 157 2964 during office hours, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or send information via MySAPS App.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police urgently seek next of kin after an unknown woman died crossing N2 near Van Stadens on Saturday.
