Seven Eastern Province rugby players will be involved in two historic U18 Girls internationals in the Western Cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in history the SA Rugby U18 Girls will play an international match when they take on The Netherlands on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fixtures are scheduled for Friday, 12 December and Tuesday, 16 December at Paul Roos Gymnasium\u2019s Mark\u00f6tter Stadium in Stellenbosch, with both games kicking off at 17:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EP players in the SA squad of 26 are Chuma Isaac (YTC Dev, No 8), Orie Masizana (Motherwell, hooker), Likhona Dyani (Motherwell, scrumhalf), Nadelean Leeuskieter (Humansdorp, fly half), Chanice Scholtz (Middelande, fullback), Julene Haas (Arcadia, centre), Lukhanye Lolo (Douglas Mbopa, wing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming matches are a wonderful opportunity for the EP girls to kickstart their international careers and to be part of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The squad is preparing in Stellenbosch for what is going to be two tough matches and a huge challenge for the local girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As previously reported by NovaNews<\/strong><\/a>, former Springbok wing Jongi Nokwe from Western Province assumes the head coaching role, bringing his wealth of international experience to guide the next generation of South African female rugby talent. The decorated former international receives support from assistants Aneesah Adams (Maties\/WP) and Lesego Malebadi (UJ\/Lions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis represents a significant development in our women\u2019s programme, and witnessing the excitement amongst the girls, along with the enormous amounts of hard work they demonstrated this week, bodes well for the future,\u201d explained Nokwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
