GQEBERHA <\/strong>– The family of Mynie Steffens (43), who tragically died in a helicopter crash on a farm outside Patensie in the Eastern Cape on 10 November, will be hosting a celebration of her life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration will take place on 14 November in Walmer, Gqeberha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steffens, a well-known helicopter pilot and instructor, was also the published author of the book “Mynie Plays With Fire<\/em>” and a TV presenter on the DStv show “Speel met Vuur<\/em>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She tragically died when her helicopter struck power lines and crashed<\/a> during a routine crop-dusting operation on Roodegrond farm near Patensie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli confirmed that police have opened an inquest docket following the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steffens’ celebration of life will take place at 15:00 at 46 7th Avenue, Walmer, Gqeberha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking will be available around Clarendon Primary School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In lieu of flowers, Steffens’ family has requested that donations be made to the Boston Terrier Rescue at http:\/\/bostonterrier.org.za\/donate\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n
