GQEBERHA <\/strong>– The pair linked to the brutal murder of National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) prosecutor Tracy Brown appeared briefly in the Gqeberha Regional Court. Simthembele Xungu<\/a> and Ayabulela Busakwe<\/a> are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brown was gunned down<\/a> on July 31 in front of her partner at her Young Park home after the suspects allegedly followed her from the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court, her place of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State requested a postponement of the matter to allow law enforcement time to arrest a third suspect<\/a> linked to the murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after the murder, the gunmen, occupying a distinctive VW Polo, allegedly sped off and were almost involved in a car accident with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle \u2014 the State’s witness \u2014 positively identified Xungu as being in the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the appearance, the presiding magistrate confirmed that the investigation is still incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
