The Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation Unit in Gqeberha is seeking information to solve an armed robbery that occurred at Greenacres in Gqeberha on 30 September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SAPS said in a statement that according to information received, it is alleged that at approximately 17:00 two unknown males entered the business premises and pointed a firearm at a customer inside the shop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The security guard on duty just outside the shop noticed what was happening and pressed the panic button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects forced open a second door to gain access to the jewellery store. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once inside, they grabbed jewellery and fired a shot inside the shop. A third suspect outside the shop also fired a shot at the display window in an attempt to grab items on display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects allegedly used a crowbar to break the glass and take jewellery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects then escaped the scene through another chain store, jumped into two separate vehicles and fled the shopping centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one was injured during the robbery and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of jewellery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No arrests have been made; however, the investigation is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the investigating officer, D\/Lt Col Mondi Sitole, on 082 457 2812 or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
