Beachgoers can return to Kings Beach after Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality confirmed water quality has returned to safe levels following last month’s sewerage spill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement today, Friday 22 August, the Municipality confirmed that rigorous testing has been conducted with monitoring taking place twice weekly since the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The results have consistently confirmed that water quality has returned to safe levels for public use,” the Municipality stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The beach closure followed a sewage spill that occurred in July, marking the second such incident at Kings Beach within a matter of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kings Beach is one of Nelson Mandela Bay’s premier coastal attractions, drawing thousands of visitors throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Municipality has assured the public that water quality monitoring will continue to ensure ongoing safety standards are maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
