Police have confirmed that one of the deceased found at the shooting scene in Central was an off-duty constable stationed at Algoa SAPS. The victims have been identified as two women, Lisakhanya Labi (21) and Monalisa Ojani (20), and male police constable Godfrey Tholane Seleke (31).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged that Seleke shot and killed the two females and thereafter shot himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reporting on the incident, police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said on July 18, 2025, SAPS Humewood responded to a complaint at approximately 09:30 in Gordon Terrace Street, Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that, on arrival, the police officers assessing the scene found the bodies of the two women with gunshot wounds and Seleke with a\u00a0gunshot\u00a0wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear and the investigation is ongoing,” she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
