Book lovers in Gqeberha are in for a treat as a rare sale of Africana and collectible books is set to take place on Tuesday, August 13. This one-day event, the first of its kind in over 40 years, promises to attract local book enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Maureen Krige from the Children’s Feeding Trust and one of the organisers, expressed her excitement about the event.
“This is something quite new. We’re thrilled to bring back this unique opportunity to Gqeberha, and we hope to attract a wide range of book enthusiasts,” said Krige.
The sale will feature a vast collection of Africana and collectible books, offering a chance for visitors to discover rare and valuable titles. What’s more, the event has a noble cause, with proceeds going towards feeding hungry children.
“We’re not only bringing book lovers together, but also supporting a great cause. Every book sold will bring us closer to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most,” said Krige, emphasising the significance of the event.
Don’t miss this chance to explore a treasure trove of books while supporting a worthy cause. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 13, at the The Children’s Feeding Trust Hall on Main Road, Walmer, Gqeberha, and get ready to uncover some literary gems.
