The Wellington Skills Development Initiative is hosting an introductory course on coding and robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This includes coding, digital story telling and robotics on 19 August at the Wellington SOS school hall from 09:00 to 11:00<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course will help those interested in this ever growing medium what the basic principals and workings of these digital platforms are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coding is the process of using a programming language to get a computer to behave how you want it to. Every line of code tells the computer to do something, and a document full of lines of code is called a script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unlike people, computers will do exactly what you tell them to. This may sound great, but it can cause problems. If you tell a computer to start counting upwards, and don\u2019t tell it to stop, it\u2019ll keep counting forever! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being a good programmer is all about knowing how to tell a computer to act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
