In celebration of its 21st anniversary, Capsicum Culinary Studio, South Africa\u2019s leading culinary school with seven campuses nationwide, is giving away a staggering 21 bursaries in its Capsicum Culinaire Challenge competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bursaries include the one-year Professional Chef Programme, the one-year Professional Patisserie Programme; and the six-month Foundational Cookery Programme (six-months\u2019 programme).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To enter, interested parties should go to the Capsicum Culinary Studio website, click on the Celebrating 21 tab and:.<\/span> provide their personal details and contact information..<\/span> specify which campus they wish to study on..<\/span> indicate which programme-specific bursary they are applying for..<\/span> write a motivation of no more than 500 words explaining why they should be the recipient of the bursary..<\/span> upload a video showcasing their culinary mastery. The video must demonstrate the entire cooking process \u2013 from ingredient selection and handling to the final presentation of the dish \u2013 and should highlight the entrant\u2019s proficiency in culinary techniques, creativity with ingredients and attention to plating and presentation, ensuring that the visual appeal matches the taste. The video must be clear and well-lit, with close-ups of key cooking processes and final presentation and must also include an introduction that briefly explains choice of dish, ingredients used and why it is representative of the entrant\u2019s skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entries must be submitted before December 7, 2024, and finalists will be contacted between December 8, 2024, and January 11, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It is essential that applicants are available to attend the live cooking competition on 18 January 2025, at their selected Capsicum Culinary Studio campus. Finalists will compete in a second live cooking competition on the same date with winners announced thereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Incomplete entry submissions will be disqualified and individuals who have previously completed any culinary or pastry course at any institution, including diploma, degree, or certificate programmes in culinary arts or pastry studies, will not be eligible to
