Ten-year-old Sarah Eichler from Wellington has been selected to represent the Western Cape at Miss Junior South Africa 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pageant takes place from 24 to 28 March in Pretoria, and she will participate in the pre-teen age group, with girls between 9 and 10 years old from all nine provinces of South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sarah, a Grade 5 learner, is one of five children. She is described as a bubbly and determined young girl actively involved in her community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She collects second-hand clothing for a soup kitchen in Paarl, supports Huis Andrew Murray in Wellington, donates to the Wellington SPCA and visits the Wellington police station every year at Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sarah has participated in pageants for three years, attends modelling lessons at RVT Modeling School and has won numerous local, national, continental and international titles, such as Little Miss Winelands 2017, Miss Petite South Africa 2018, Miss Pre-Teen Africa 2019 and Petite Queen of the Universe 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also enjoys attending ballet classes, swimming, making slime and playing with her siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited! I\u2019m looking forward to meeting my fellow contestants, wearing all my new beautiful dresses, and spending a whole week away, alone with my mommy, without any of my siblings. I really hope to bring the crown and the \u2018Miss Pre-Teen South Africa 2020\u2019 title back to the Western Cape,\u201d Sarah said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miss & Mr Junior South Africa are hosted annually by Pageants SA, and contestants are judged over five days in evening wear, casual wear, interviews and themed wear. Besides the main title, there are a several other awards that can be won \u2013 for example, Public Choice is awarded to the finalist with the most Facebook likes and \u201cFace of South Africa\u201d goes to finalist who received the most SMS votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
