Applications to join the Wellington Junior Town Council (JTC) next year are open to learners who are interested and who are currently in Grade 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The applications are open to all learners who attend any high school in Wellington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To apply, learners can email their CV to wellington7655@gmail.com or contact a junior councillor at their school before 20 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current Executive Committee and Committee Leaders of Wellington Junior Town Council for 2021\/2022 are in Grade 10. These learners are acquiring leadership and problem solving skills through leading their fellow councillors in cultivating their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The objectives of the council are to foster mutual understanding and an appreciation between schools in and around Wellington. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The council consists of committees with specific portfolios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leaders of the committees organise and coordinate activities with regard to the portfolios that they hold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The different committees are also given the chance to work together regularly on projects, while combining their strengths and efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
