Three men accused of charges related to theft have been sentenced to prison in the Paarl Magistrates\u2019 Court last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTwo accused, Byron Kulsen and Duwayne September, each received a six-year sentence, of which two have been suspended for a period of five years,\u201d said Paarl police spokesperson Capt Louise du Plessis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe two convicted were charged with theft of a motor boat in June 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that the suspects stole the boat and trailer in Wellington, but were stopped by police officers in Paarl at a roadblock. The officers arrested them after becoming suspicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a related case, the third accused, Tashwald Pietersen (31), received a seven-year sentence, of which two were suspended for five years after pleading guilty to theft of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
