Suid-Afrika voorsien wel elektrisiteit aan buurlande, maar dis \u2019n aansienlik klein hoeveelheid, volgens Yellend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daar is twee soort elektrisiteits\u00advoorsienings\u00adre\u00eblings tussen Suid-Afrika en die buiteland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die eerste een sluit in \u2019n bilaterale kontrak tussen Eskom en naburige kragdienste, byvoorbeeld Nampower<\/span> in Namibi\u00eb, of die Botswana Power Corporation<\/span><\/span>word deur Eskom van \u2019n sekere hoeveelheid krag voorsien.<\/p>\n\n\n\nLesotho voer krag na Suid-Afrika uit van die hidro-elektriese kragsentrales. \u201cDit is immers \u2019n relatief klein hoeveelheid krag as daar na Suid-Afrika se kragaanvraag gekyk word,\u201d het Yellend verduidelik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWanneer kragdienste soos Eskom, of een van die buurlande s\u2019n, \u2019n surplus elektrisiteit het, bied die land daardie elektrisiteit op die Suid-Afrikaanse kragpoel aan en s\u00ea wat die prys is as \u2019n land dit wil koop, so ander lande met \u2019n elektrisiteitstekort kan dit dan koop,\u201d het Yellend ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
