Die betrokke dag het hy glad nie huis toe gekom nie en ons het rondgekyk vir hom. Almal weet \u2019n kat dwaal in \u2019n radius van ongeveer 400 meter, so dit is iemand in die omgewing wat dit aan hom gedoen het.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smith s\u00ea hulle was Vrydagaand bietjie uit en met hul terugkeer huis toe het hulle vir Peanut in Draaistraat gekry waar hy op die sypaadjie gesit het. Volgens Smith het Peanut gewoonlik by \u2019n ander kat in Draaistraat gekuier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOns het hom ingevat en in die kamer by ons gehou, want hy het regtig glad nie lekker gelyk nie en wou glad nie eet nie. Deur die nag het by begin opgooi en sy toestand het versleg. Saterdagoggend het sy toestand net verder versleg en my lewensmaat het vir Peanut na die dierehospitaal geneem. Daar het die veearts X-strale geneem en agtergekom daar is drie windbuks-koe\u00ebls binne-in die kat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHy is drie keer geskiet met \u2019n windbuks en vergiftig. Dit is onmenslik en dit is iemand in \u2019n radius van omtrent 400 meter om my.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smith vertel hartseer dat hy Saterdagmiddag sy geliefde Peanut, wat soos \u2019n kind vir hom was, by die dierehospitaal moes gaan groet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKort nadat ek hom vir oulaas gaan groet het en weg is, het hy gesterf. Ek kan nog die vergiftigingstorie kleinkry, want jy kry idiote daar buite, maar drie keer geskiet met \u2019n windbuks in \u2019n residensi\u00eble gebied is malligheid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smith s\u00ea hy wag nog vir die veearts se rekening, maar maak hom gereed dat dit \u2019n stewige bedrag gaan wees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit is teen Drakenstein se munisipale regulasies om in \u2019n woongebied met \u2019n windbuks te skiet en om ook diere te vergiftig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indien bure se diere \u2019n probleem is, kan dit aangemeld word by plaaslike wetstoepassing wat die situasie op \u2019n paslike manier sal hanteer.
