Dit maak staat op \u2019n tydhouer wat van 1 Januarie 1993 begin tel het en op 24 November 2024 \u201csonder syfers\u201d sal raak. Huishoudings sal \u00f3f van voorafbetaalde elektrisiteit moet oorskakel \u00f3f in die donker gelaat word \u2013 tensy plaaslike owerhede ingryp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En natuurlik laat hierdie probleem munisipaliteite met hul hande in die hare weens derduisende inwoners wat afhanklik is van voorafbetaalde elektrisiteitsmeters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drakenstein-munisipaliteit se diensverskaffer, ONTEC, is tans besig met \u2019n TID (<span>token identifier<\/span>)-proses en het reeds 38 288 (93,3%) van die 40 789 aktiewe meters in Drakenstein geoudit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ONTEC is besig om die oorblywende 2 501 meters te identifiseer vir ouditdoeleindes, waarvoor die sperdatum vir afhandeling 31 Augustus vanjaar is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daar is ongelukkig talle huishoudings wat die veldwerkers toegang tot hul persele geweier het, en wat wel voor November 2024 geoudit sal moet word om te verseker dat daardie huishoudings wel elektrisiteit n\u00e1 November 2024 sal kan koop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tydens die ouditproses word die meter se <span>key revision<\/span> vanaf \u2019n een na \u2019n twee oorgeskakel, wat dan die TID-proses voltooi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die <span>key revision<\/span> van alle nuwe
