More and more, I am noticing cars driving around in Paarl without number plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many of these are flashy new vehicles that rush around at great speed, skip traffic lights, drive across stop streets without hesitation, among many other traffic violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s obvious these motorists have intentionally removed their number plates so they won\u2019t be caught on camera or otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this year I read the City of Cape Town was taking a stricter stance against motorists whose vehicles have number plates \u2013 that is, those with plates not screwed onto the front and rear of cars properly and just haphazardly stuck on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would like to hear from our local authorities what are they doing about this. Have our traffic officers ever stopped such motorists and fined them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without these authorities actually taking a stance lawlessness and the misdoings of reckless drivers on our roads will just continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
