The Department of Home Affairs will open its offices for an extra two hours on Friday, 02 February from 16:00 to 18:00 for ID collection. On Saturday 03 February and Sunday 04 February 2024, the offices will open for nine (9) hours, from 08h00 to 17h00 on each day, for citizens to collect their IDs in support of the 03-04 February 2024 Voter Registration Weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Services to be offered are application and collection of IDs and applications for Temporary Identification Certificates (TICs). TICs cost R70 and are issued on the spot. With these documents, eligible voters will be able to register for the 2024 national and provincial elections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, clients can now book collection appointments before visiting offices, using the Branch Appointment Booking System (BABS) which is available on the DHA Website \u2013 www.dha.gov.za through this link; BABS . Alternatively, clients can simply visit our offices without making a booking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We particularly encourage young people to come to our offices from Friday afternoon and over the weekend to come and apply or collect their documents,\u201d said Deputy Minister, Njabulo Nzuza. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
