Bpk., is deur die munisipale raad goedgekeur en hiermee laat die munisipaliteit amptelik toe dat ontwikkeling by die Paarl se witolifant, De Poort, kan plaasvind.<\/p>\n\n\n\nJare van onsekerheid en gevegte tussen die munisipaliteit en vorige huurders blyk \u2019n einde te bereik het en De Poort word voorts aan \u2019n Stellenbosse ontwikkelingsmaatskappy verhuur vir \u2019n bedrag van slegs R31 587,50 per maand, BTW uitgesluit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die munisipaliteit het ges\u00ea die huur van De Poort is onderworpe aan sekere vereistes, wat die ontwikkeling van De Poort tot \u2019n ge\u00efntegreerde en multifunksionele ruimte behels en wat hoofsaaklik die toerismebedryf in die Paarl- en Drakenstein-gebied sal dien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dit sluit \u2019n residensi\u00eble komponent in, wat die organiese hernuwing van bestaande gebruike\/bedrywighede\/soorte sakeondernemings binne die bre\u00ebr gebied moontlik sal maak, wat hierdie visie na verwagting sal aanvul en aanmoedig. Die residensi\u00eble komponent kan ook woonstelle insluit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie voorgestelde gemengde gebruik sluit residensi\u00eble, kommersi\u00eble en ontspanningsverwante gebruike in, maar is nie daartoe beperk nie. Die verskuiwing van die busse van die Shell-vulstasie na die oostelike kant van die De Poort-terrein sal juis die nodige verkeersverligting bied wat in die omliggende omgewing benodig word.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
