Two dancers from Paarl, Delia Huskisson and Imma Grobbelaar, from Bootscooters SA, a local dance school teaching Country Couples and Line Dancing, represented the South African team of 35 dancers at the recent \u201cWorld Dance Masters\u201d World Championship this past weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They qualified at the South African championships held in Bloemfontein at the beginning of July, together with two other Bootscooter dancers, Richard Smith and Annette Badenhorst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The World Championship is showcased annually at the legendary Winter Gardens in Blackpool, and this year hosted 870 Country Couples and Line Dance competitors and more than 2 000 social dancers from across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition stretches over three days of gruelling heats for many divisions in which Grobbelaar, who competes in Advanced Silver age division, didn\u2019t reach the final round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huskisson took 1st place in the Allstar Silver age division of which there were six competitors. This is the highest division in the world of Country Dance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
