Paarl Hockey Club Men 1st is still going strong post-second match in the last half of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Playing in the promotion league means if they hold onto their number 1 spot they will be promoted to the Grand Challenge. This is the top-tier league in the Western Province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday 27 July Paarl\u2019s men\u2019s 1st team beat Pinelands 1st 9-1, with goals scored by Carlon Mentoor (5), Louw Pienaar, Matt Smith, Jorich Murray and Francois Lourens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All other matches were postponed due to the stormy weather. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday 28 July Paarl men, over 35, lost to WPCC Black Widow\u2019s 2-5, with their goals scored by Peter Dreyer and Gavin Cupido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
