Die ontwikkeling is by die kruising van Hoofweg-, Tabak-, Turk- en Pinestraat gele\u00eb en dek \u2019n totale oppervlakte van 49 372 hektaar. Hierdie projek beoog om \u2019n wye reeks fasiliteite en dienste aan te bied, insluitend winkels, restaurante, kantore, residensi\u00eble eenhede, toerismefasiliteite, ontspanningsruimtes en \u2019n bushalte vir langafstandvervoer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Poort is beplan as \u2019n gefaseerde ontwikkeling wat verskeie sektore integreer, en voorsien die volgende:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winkels en supermarkte: 8 584 m\u00b2 wat ruimte sal bied vir kleinhandel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Restaurante en koffiewinkels: 693 m\u00b2 vir eetgeleenthede en koffiewinkels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kantore en spreekkamers: 940 m\u00b2 wat voorsiening maak vir professionele ruimtes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residensi\u00eble eenhede: 120 eenhede om aan Paarl se behuisingsbehoeftes te voldoen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toerismefasiliteite: 450 m\u00b2 vir museums, toerismekantore, en konferensiegeriewe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ontspanningsfasiliteite: 276 m\u00b2 wat sportfasiliteite insluit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Busnode: \u2019n 1980 m\u00b2 langafstand bushalte met \u2019n kaartjiekantoor en parkeerplek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hierdie ontwikkeling kan \u2019n positiewe invloed h\u00ea op die ekonomiese groei van die gebied en skep \u2019n verskeidenheid nuwe werkgeleenthede, terwyl dit voorsiening maak vir toeriste en plaaslike inwoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drakenstein-munisipaliteit se Grondontwikkeling-bestuursafdeling oorweeg tans die aansoek, wat sekere afwykings en toestemmings vereis. Dit sluit in die vermindering van die vereiste parkeerruimtes tot 502, in plaas van 655 en goedkeuring vir die gebruik van grond wat vir padverbreding geproklameer is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die munisipaliteit oorweeg ook die skep van fasiliteite vir fiets- en motorfietsparkering, asook toestemming dat verskeie gebruike \u2019n gemeenskaplike parkeerterrein deel. Verder mag parkeerterreine naby straatgrense toegelaat word om ruimte te optimaliseer. Inwoners en belanghebbendes het tot 2 Desember om besware of kommentare in te dien. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2019n Inligtingsessie oor die projek word op 6 November by die Picardie Gasteplaas se konferensie-fasiliteit van 10:00 tot 12:00 gehou, waar inwoners meer oor die ontwikkeling kan leer en hul insette kan lewer.
