This year’s AfrikaBurn took place from 28 April to 4 May on the farm Quaggafontein in the Tankwa Karoo<\/a>. This specific venue below the Skoorsteenberg mountain is situated in the Western Cape, close to the Northern Cape border. AfrikaBurn is the spectacular result of a community of participants who come together to create art, costumes, performance, gifted and volunteered services, music, mutant vehicles, and more. The artwork “Sudara” (photo) by Catherine Cartwright was one of the many surreal works on this piece of land of the Karoo.
