A 66-year-old male tourist from Cape Town has been reported missing in the Augrabies Falls National Park<\/a>. The individual booked into this national park in the Northern Cape on Thursday, 10 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed that he went hiking on Friday, 11 April, says Col Cherelle Ehlers, media spokesperson in the Northern Cape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ehlers says when the male tourist failed to return at 16:30, park rangers became concerned. they promptly reported the matter to the South African Police Service at the town of Augrabies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His personal belongings and vehicle were still at the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A comprehensive search operation was immediately launched into his disappearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the police in Augrabies, the police’s Airwing, Upington Search and Rescue Unit, Upington K9 Unit, and a drone pilot are actively involved in the ongoing search efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
