Kimberley.\u2013 Die balju kan moontlik binnekort  beslag l\u00ea op ambulanse, mediese toerusting en
\nander bates van die Noord-Kaapse gesondheidsdepartement weens agterstallige
\nskuld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit spruit glo uit agterstallige skuld van R700 000 wat die
\ndepartement glo aan \u2019n voormalige diensverskaffer, Bestor CC, verskuldig is ten
\nspyte van \u2019n finale lasbrief vir eksekusie wat reeds op 4 Julie vanjaar
\nuitgereik is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beslote korporasie is \u2019n voormalige verskaffer van faks-
\nen kopi\u00ebringsdienste aan die departement van gesondheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onder die 240 bates waarop daar moontlik beslag gel\u00ea kan
\nword tel vier ambulanse, \u2019n suurstofmajien, verskeie meubelstukke en ander
\nhospitaaltoerusting soos rekenaars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die DA se provinsiale leier Andrew Louw het vroe\u00ebr die week
\nin \u2019n verklaring ges\u00ea die ambulanse sal veral gesog wees omdat dit as taxi\u2019s
\ngebruik kan word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie departement sal dan met lede van die publiek by \u2019n <\/p>\n\n\n\n

veiling moet meeding om hierdie verbeurde toerusting terug
\nte koop,\u201d het Louw ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Louw sal dit \u2018n bespotting vir die departement van
\ngesondheid wees indien hy sy vloot, wat reeds skraps is, verloor weens sy eie
\nnalatigheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndien die departement nie sy agterstallige skuld betaal
\nnie kan dit beteken dat dit die departement se hoofkantoor in Kimberley, sowel
\nas die administratiewe eenheid van Kimberley-hospitaal buite werking gelaat sal
\nword aangesien die verwydering van toerusting soos rekenaars, drukkers en
\nmeubelstukke \u2019n wesenlike impak op die hospitaal sal h\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGevolglik sal dit ook die departement se vermoe\u00eb om personeel
\nte kan betaal en om ononderhandelbare hospitaaltoerusting te verkry belemmer en
\n\u2019n uiters negatiewe impak op diensleweing h\u00ea,\u201d meen Louw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDit is tyd dat die departement van gesondheid
\nverantwoordelik gehou word vir sy klaaglike mislukking om sy kontrakte en
\nfinansies reg te bestuur,\u201d het hy ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Louw vra die DA sedert 2009 vir \u2019n interne ondersoek
\nna die departement se hantering van die kontrak met Bestor CC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louw s\u00ea die departement het reeds R17\u2009miljoen aan regskostes
\nbestee wanneer inflasie in ag geneem word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lulu Mxekezo, \u2019n woordvoerder vir die Noord-Kaapse
\ndepartement van gesondheid, het gister (2016\/07\/07) ges\u00ea dat die departement
\nnog wag om deur die regsverteenwoordigers van die betrokke maatskappy met
\ndokumentasie bedien te word sodat die saak opgelos kan word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
