\u2019n Atletiekklub van Kimberley oorweeg dit om weer wagte in

\nse spogstrate aangeval en beroof is.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Ockie Vermeulen, voorsitter van die Vodacom
\nKimberley Road Runners-klub, het die voorval Dinsdagoggend (23\/07) vroeg in
\nCarringtonweg gebeur.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea die vrou het gedraf toe sy deur \u2019n verdagte, wat met
\n\u2019n mes gewapen was, voorgekeer is.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ondanks die feit dat sy met \u2019n skokstok gewapen was, is sy
\nglo van haar besittings beroof.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy het geval in \u2019n poging om te ontsnap, en moes later
\nsteke aan haar kop kry. Sy is gelukkig nie met die mes gesteek nie. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noordkaap verneem die vrou is erg getraumatiseer n\u00e1 die
\nvoorval en wil anoniem bly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy s\u00ea die voorval het omstreeks 05:20 naby die
\nOleander-gastehuis gebeur.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2009\u2019n Man
\nhet voor my geloop en ek het onrustig gevoel. Ek wou omdraai, maar toe versnel
\nek net.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToe ek naby hom kom, het hy sy hoody oor sy kop getrek. Ek
\nhet dadelik geweet daar is moeilikheid. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk het vinniger gegaan, maar toe ek omkyk, sien ek net hoe
\nhy my met \u2019n lang mes bestorm. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk het vreeslik geskreeu en myself met my skokstok probeer
\nverdedig, maar in die proses het ek op die grond beland,\u201d s\u00ea sy.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHy het bo-oor my gestaan en op my selfoon aangedring, maar
\nek hardloop nie met \u2019n foon nie. Ek het ges\u00ea hy moet my horlosie vat. Dit is
\nwaardevol.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens die vrou was die rower nie met haar
\nhardloop-horlosie tevrede nie. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHy het ges\u00ea hy soek my handskoene ook. Ek het ges\u00ea ek sal
\nopstaan sodat hy my self vir \u2019n foon kan deursoek.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToe hy besef ek het niks meer aan my nie, het hy geskree
\nek moet gaan. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk het toe huis toe gegaan en later besef my kop is vol
\nbloed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vermeulen onderhandel met \u2019n veiligheidsmaatskappy om
\natlete soggens met fietse te begelei.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die idee is dat atlete soggens in groepe saam van \u2019n
\nbymekaarkompunt beweeg, en dat hulle dan deur wagte op fietse vergesel word om
\nhulle te beskerm.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atlete sal dan weekliks of maandeliks vir die beveiliging
\ngeldelik moet bydra.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die klub het in 2017 ook ingetree en \u2019n
\nsekuriteitsmaatskappy betrek om atlete te beskerm nadat twee atlete wat vir die
\nTwee Oseane-marathon geoefen het, deur drie mans in Carringtonweg oorval en met
\n\u2019n panga gedreig is.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lt.\u2009kol.
\nDimakatso Mooi, polisiewoordvoerder, het die voorval bevestig.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens haar ondersoek die polisie \u2019n saak van roof nadat \u2019n
\n42-jarige vrou in die straat aangeval is.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Niemand is nog in hegtenis geneem nie.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mense met inligting wat tot die inhegtenisname van die
\nverdagte kan lei kan die polisie by 08600
