Covid-19 has changed nearly every aspect of our daily lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day after the lockdown was announced for many it felt like a long-awaited vacation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soon afterwards everyone came to the horrible realization that an economic disaster might strike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schools and businesses are closed, hospitals are overwhelmed and unemployment numbers are rising by the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first couple of days of the lockdown there was hope, but as the lockdown drags on, hunger and fear take over. Many children have missed school lunches, which often provided the most nutritious meal of their day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When there is so much suffering everywhere you look, it\u2019s hard to know what to do or say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some organisations and businesses started helping by handing out food parcels. But the impact on many industries has been devastating and soon people won\u2019t be able to reach into their pockets to help others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Africa was able to introduce a huge social and economic relief package and now only time will tell how the government plans will be implemented to get businesses and individuals back on their feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile all we as South Africans can do, is reach out to those who are less fortunate than us and try to ease the pressure our country is under in this way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
