\u2019n Motorhandelaar van Kimberley is geskok gelaat nadat hy Sondagnag (16\/01) \u2019n oproep ontvang het dat \u2019n voertuig deur die vertoonvensters van sy motorhandelaarskap gery het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is die eerste keer ooit dat dit gebeur, s\u00ea Neels du Plooy, eienaar van Supercars. Hy besit di\u00e9 winkel sedert 2007. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie motoris het oor twee sypaadjies, \u2019n verkeerseiland en twee dubbelbaanpaaie gery voordat die voertuig teen my winkel tot stilstand gekom het. Hy het beserings aan sy bene en voete opgedoen, en is per ambulans na die hospitaal gebring.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea die ongeluk het Sondag voor 01:00 gebeur. Du Plooy het hom na die toneel gehaas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie bestuurder het waarskynlik teen \u2019n ho\u00eb spoed van Blackstraat se kant in Longstraat se dienspad gery. Die bestuurder het na bewering beheer verloor en oor die sypaadjie, die een dubbelbaan van Longstraat, die middelman, oor die ander dubbelbaan en oor die sypaadjie beweeg voordat hy teen my winkel tot stilstand gekom het. Hoewel die sypaadjies en middel\u00admannetjie sy spoed gebreek het, was daar nog genoeg momentum om teen my winkel vas te ry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDie motor het die gete\u00eblde steenmuurtjie onder die swaar vensters omgestamp. Die versterkte glas het op sy motor geval. Van die skerwe glas en bakstene het in die vertoonlokaal gespat en skade gerig aan motors wat te koop is. Die splinters en skerwe het ook teen die motors se bakwerk gespat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du Plooy is nog onseker oor die omvang van die skade wat aangerig is. Met behulp van ander mense het hy Sondag sy beskadigde winkel so goed moontlik probeer beveilig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIntussen sal \u2019n venster\u00admaatskappy en bouers my bystaan om die skade te bereken en te bepaal wat die herstelwerk behels. Ek is gelukkig ten volle verseker teen skade aan die gebou en aan my voorraad motors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
