Op die dag dat oudpres. Jacob Zuma se korrupsieverhoor oor die destydse wapenskandaal in Pietermaritzburg uitgestel is en hy weens gesondheidsprobleme nie in die hof verskyn het nie, het sy naam in \u2019n moordverhoor in Kimberley opgeduik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuma se beweerde eersgeborene, Jabulani Wilson Zuma (62), word saam met ses ander beskuldigdes aangekla van onder meer die moord op multimiljoen\u00ear Piet Els en die aanranding sy vriendin, Rikkie Alsemgeest, op sy plaas buite Kimberley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Di\u00e9 aanval is in die oggendure van 24 Januarie 2018 in Els (86) se huis op sy plaas Carters Ridge net buite Kimberley uitgevoer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Piet Els is na bewering gemartel en Alsemgeest met \u2019n strykyster gebrand. Els, \u2019n welvarende sakeman, het weke later aan sy beserings beswyk.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Morapeli Rankali (28) en Motlalentwa Qhautse (37), albei van Lesotho, Lizbeth Ndlala (56), Themba Lawrence Maja (68) en Oupa Jeffrey Mahomane (44), almal van Pienaar in Mpumalanga, Samson Sam Mbokane (63) van Mbombela in Mpumalanga, en Zuma van Mtubatuba, KwaZulu-Natal, staan tereg op ses aanklagte van onder meer huisbraak, aanranding, moord en twee aanklagte van die onwettige besit van \u2019n 7.65 mm-Walther-pistool en \u2019n .30-30-Winchester-geweer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jan Adriaan Els, die oorledene se jongste seun, het Maandag (11\/04) in die hooggeregshof in Kimberley getuig dat sy pa oudpres. Jacob Zuma geken het, hoewel hy nie weet hoe diep die vriendskap was nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens hom is Krugerrande, brons- en silwermunte, kontant en antieke sakhorlosies uit die kluis in sy pa se slaapkamer vermis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die kluis is tydens die aanval met \u2019n hoekslyper oopgesny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jan se trouring is ook uit die kluis gesteel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy het ook \u2019n bewysstuk, \u2019n goue ring wat in twee stukke gebreek is, as sy pa se trouring herken. Die diamant wat in die ring geset was, is vermis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In kruisondervraging het hy ges\u00ea hy herken nie een van die beskuldigdes nie, maar dit kan moontlik wees dat die moordenaars aan sy pa bekend was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lt.kol. Catherine Mbingo het in haar getuienis ges\u00ea Zuma het op 17 Maart 2021, toe sy \u2019n verklaring van hom afgeneem het, aan haar ges\u00ea hy is Jacob Zuma se eersgebore kind.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In di\u00e9 verklaring, wat Zuma ontken hy afgel\u00ea het, beskryf hy die tydstip waarop die voorval plaasgevind het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens die verklaring het hy \u2019n oproep ontvang van \u2019n medebeskuldigde, Samson Mbokane, wat gevra het hy moet hom vir werksdoel\u00adeindes na Kimberley neem. Zuma het op \u2019n onbe\u00adkende datum van Mtubatuba gery en \u00earens langs die pad motors met ene Abraham Mashiloane geruil. Vandaar het Zuma en Mbokane na bewering \u2019n egpaar (wie se name nie in die verklaring genoem word nie) en \u2019n ander mede\u00adbeskuldigde, Oupa Maho\u00admane, in Nelspruit opgelaai en teen 17:00 by \u2019n huis in Kimberley aangekom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahomane het kwaad geword toe die betrokke huiseienaar nie \u2019n ritueel vir hom wou uitvoer nie, waarna hy lank weg was. Toe Mahomane n\u00e1 middernag terugkom, het hy glo \u2019n silwer boks en \u2019n groot tas by hom gehad waarin munte en baie kontant was.Later het nog drie mans, gewapen met \u2019n pompaksie-haelgeweer, by die huis aangekom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuma het in opdrag van Mahomane die geld en munte onder die teen\u00adwoordiges in die huis verdeel, waarna Mahomane en die drie mans weg is. Zuma en die ander het aan die slaap geraak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die huiseienaar het later ges\u00ea hulle moet sy huis verlaat. Zuma was kwaad toe Mahomane saam wou terugry, omdat hy vir werks\u00addoeleindes in Kimberley sou agterbly. Sy drie sakke sou ook nie in die motor pas nie. Hy het niemand toegelaat om oor inhoud uit te vra of daaraan te vat nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuma het die egpaar en Mahomane in Nelspruit afgelaai, en later ook vir Mbokane. In Benoni het hy weer motors met Mashiloane geruil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
