Plafonne wat op pasi\u00ebnte en personeellede inval en \u201converskrokke tikkoppe\u201d wat sonder moeite toegang tot die Keimoes-hospitaal kry, is van die enkele klagtes oor di\u00e9 hospitaal wat die ronde doen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die hospitaal het blykbaar vir jare reeds nie meer omheining nie en die nooddeur langs die vrouesaal is glo met \u201ccardboard\u201d toegemaak, wat vrye toegang vir misdadigers en dwelmverslaafdes bied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behalwe dat di\u00e9 vrye toegang die pasi\u00ebnte se veiligheid in gevaar stel, veroorsaak dit ook dat diefstal uit die hospitaal byna ongehinderd kan plaasvind. Die hospitaal is aan die kant van die dorp gele\u00eb, met \u2019n wye oop stuk veld rondom die gebou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Ingeligte, wat anoniem wil bly, s\u00ea dat die hospitaal bykans nie breekware of beddegoed oorhet nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n
Van die personeel steek maar \u2019n paar borde weg. En pasi\u00ebnte moet meestal hul eie beddegoed saamvat.<\/div>\n
Anonieme ingeligte<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnlangs, toe daar nie geld vir brandstof vir die kragopwekker was nie, moes personeel uit hul eie sak kerse koop om tydens beurtkrag te gebruik,\u201d s\u00ea die ingeligte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk het die toestand reeds in 2021 by die openbare beskermer aangemeld,\u201d s\u00ea Patrick du Plessis van Warmsand, \u2019n gemeenskapsleier en werknemer by die hospitaal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea hy \u201chet reeds tot op provinsiale vlak\u201d gepraat, met korrespondensie aan die hospitaalbestuur en departement, sonder sukses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk kan nie langer stilbly nie, want ons mense gaan dood hier,\u201d s\u00ea hy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Du Plessis en ander ingeligtes is daar vele klagtes om aan te meld, soos ook die tekort aan mediese personeel. Soms is daar slegs twee of drie mense aan diens. Behalwe dat hulle na die hospitaalpasi\u00ebnte moet omsien, is die buitepasi\u00ebnte ook hul verantwoordelikheid, met soms tot twee vroue wat gelyktydig geboorte moet gee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Van die betrokkenes by die hospitaal wat na bewering lang vingers het, word nie vasgevat nie en sommige kantore is vuil, met asblikke wat gedurig \u201coorloop\u201d van wegneemete-houers. Te\u00ebls aan die mure val ook glo af. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nog \u2019n inwoner, wat anoniem wil bly, vertel van \u2019n voorval waar twee \u201ctikkoppe\u201d in die helder daglig verby sekuriteit by ontvangs gestap het, hulself in \u2019n stoorkamer met voorraad gehelp het, en weer terug verby sekuriteit gestap het \u2013 sonder om voorgekeer te word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In mediaberigte van 2019 word geskryf van die vervalle struktuur, deure wat oopstaan en rommel wat ophoop, met enkele personeel\u00adlede wat probeer om alles staande te hou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHierdie hospitaal was vlekkeloos. Dit wat nou hier aangaan, is totaal onaanvaarbaar,\u201d s\u00ea \u2019n inwoner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
