A truck loaded with suspected contraband cigarettes worth more than R1 m was confiscated on the N12 south of Kimberley on Sunday (02\/10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Capt. Olebogeng Tawana, police spokesperson, said an intelligence-driven operation led by members of the Kimberley K9 unit, Kimberley Flying Squad, Provincial Organised Crime and Crime Intelligence yielded this results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They operationalised a tip-off and tracked the truck, apparently on its way to De Aar. The truck had two occupants, aged 56 and 37.
