Sterk wind wat die hele naweek, asook Maandag en Dinsdag, in die Noord-Kaap woed, jaag die brande aan. <\/div>\n

Terwyl uitgebreide brande Maandag (10\/10) \u2019n vyfde dag in die Noord-Kaap gewoed het, is gevrees dat dit ook huise in Dani\u00eblskuil in gevaar kon stel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meer as 100 000 ha se weiveld was in daardie stadium reeds verwoes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die R31-roete tussen Kimberley en Dani\u00eblskuil is Dinsdag vir verkeer gesluit weens die gevaarlike veldbrande wat buite beheer woed. Motoriste is versoek om van alternatiewe roetes gebruik te maak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willie Aucamp, DA-LP en die party se kiesafdelingshoof in die Kalahari, het Maandag vroegmiddag ges\u00ea verkeersbeamptes probeer keer dat motoriste di\u00e9 pad gebruik omdat dit weerskante van die pad brand en rookwolke sigbaarheid belemmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benewens vrese oor huise in Dani\u00eblskuil, het die brand ook na die ooste in die rigting van Koopmansfontein versprei. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twee vliegtuie is Maandag ingespan om die brand te probeer blus. Talle boere, hul werkers en brand\u00adbestrydingspanne van verskillende organisasies het toe steeds onverpoos die vlamme probeer blus. Emosionele, moe\u00eb boere het ges\u00ea hulle sal dringend veevoer moet kry.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mase Manopole, Noord-Kaapse LUR vir landbou, omgewingsake, landelike ontwikkeling en grondhervorming, het Maandag veevoer uit die regering se voerbanke aan die boere beloof. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy het ook ges\u00ea dit was haar departement wat Maandag die twee vliegtuie beskikbaar gestel het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braam van der Westhuizen, DA-raadslid van die Ga-Sego\u00adnyana-munisipaliteit (Kuruman), het ges\u00ea \u201cdie vuur hardloop met \u2019n spoed\u201d te midde van sterk wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jan Joubert van die plase Happy Valley en Fair View tussen Kuruman en Dani\u00eblskuil het ges\u00ea hy voel oorweldig deur die uitwerking van die ramp. Volgens hom is die brand deur weerlig veroorsaak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDaar sal dringend veevoer gekry moet word, of alternatiewe weiding vir ons diere totdat dit re\u00ebn en die veld herstel het.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea boere het ook pale, drade en pypleidings verloor. Joubert het 85% van sy weiveld verloor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns is baie dankbaar teenoor inwoners van dorpe wat hul lewe in gevaar kom stel het om ons te help en ook water en koeldranke aangery het. Ons is dankbaar vir die rampbestuurspan van Johan Rossouw van Kuruman, die weermag en die vliegtuie en Atlas Oryx-helikopter wat gere\u00ebl is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franco Joubert, nog \u2019n boer, het sowat 600 ha van sy weiveld op sy plaas Paradys verloor, terwyl sy plaas Glendale se weiveld heeltemal afgebrand het. Driekwart van die weiding op sy plaas Korrelkop is daarmee heen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lettie van Zyl (67), \u2019n boervrou in die Kuruman-omgewing, s\u00ea die weiveld op vyf van haar plase het feitlik heeltemal afgebrand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy bedank boere, organisasies en individue vir hul hulp, asook die Gamagara-munisipaliteit en die John Taolo Gaetsewe-distriks\u00admunisipaliteit. Hy s\u00ea daar sal met dr.
