A live performance by world renowned PJ Thandeka Powers and the Soweto Gospel Choir will soon be on stage in Kimberley, joined by local talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All funds generated at this event on Friday, 21 October, will be used to support deprived communities with healthy meals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Kimberley, 10 000 meals will be provided to Yonder, 10 000 to Caritas Community Focus and 10 000 to the Sally Aucamp Home for the Physically Disabled. These meals, a highly nutritious instant porridge, Peak, was perfected by Harvest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals and provides a one-bowl solution for sustainability throughout the day. It is safe for use by diabetics and pregnant women. Also, no cooking is required and just water or milk can be added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this project, Harvest and the Vernon Philander Foundation will be joined by Wintershoek Safaris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local talent on stage include the Newton Primary School Choir, Kimberley Junior School Choir, Letsego Primary School\u2019s Marimba Band and Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The evening\u2019s show promises to be spectacular, with world-renowned, award-winning talent and a build-up to a massive grand finale with all the participants in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event takes place in the Taberna Dei Auditorium at 19:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
